Report on the timetable for consideration of the Public Health
(Wales) Bill
On 8 June 2015, a Government Bill, ‘Public Health (Wales) Bill’, was introduced in the Assembly.
On 19 May 2015, the Business Committee agreed, in accordance with Standing Order 26.9, to refer the Bill to the Health and Social Care Committee, to consider and report on the general principles.
On 9 June 2015, the Business Committee agreed, in accordance with Standing Order 26.7, a timetable for the Committee’s consideration of the general principles of the Bill and has agreed that the Committee should report to the Assembly by 27 November 2015.
The Business Committee also agreed that Stage 2 proceedings should be completed by 5 February 2016, subject to the general principles of the Bill being agreed by the Assembly.
